As an insurance agent, I’m risk averse. Just kidding! Risk
has played a major role in my life, otherwise I wouldn’t be where I am today
with Decisive Insurance. We all take a certain amount of risk in the choices we
make every day, so why not make choices and take chances on things that will
help you move forward in your goals? For example, after I graduated college, I
had a pretty safe job working with family in commercial real estate. Even
though it afforded me a good life, I just knew it wasn’t what I should be
doing. After a few years there, I took the risk to move to Scandinavia. Nothing
was familiar or comfortable at first, but by taking that risk, I was able to
encounter one-of-a-kind life experiences and meet people I would have never met
if I had stayed where I was. The same kind of situation presented itself when I
wanted to start my own agency with my business partner, Dominic. I was working
a steady job at a big insurance company, but Dominic and I knew we would be
able to help more people if we took the risk and started our own company. With
risks like these, I never hesitated because they always felt like a step in the
right direction.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be
familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

When my business partner, Dominic, and I wanted to start
Decisive Insurance, we had one goal in mind: to get people quality insurance
coverage without the large price tag. These days, and especially with the
fluctuating economy, it’s especially important for people to save money in any
way that they can. But it’s also important that they don’t cut corners on
coverage when they’re trying to cut down their rates. On top of that, most
people don’t have time to do their due diligence to find the best insurance
policies for them. So, they end up seeing splashy, expensive commercials on TV
or online and choosing the first company that pops into their mind. We were at
one of those companies, and we knew we could do so much better for the
customers we were serving. At Decisive Insurance, we take the time to search
for the best home, auto, renter’s and commercial policies for the needs of
themselves and their families from a variety of hand-selected, A-rated
carriers. Not only do we save them on their insurance that protects

them when they least expect it, we save them the time it
takes to find that company, giving them their peace of mind. Our customers
trust us to make important decisions that protect their families, and we
couldn’t ask for a better motivation to never forget our duty to our customers.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local
spots you’d want to take them around to?

As a native Dallasite, I love showing my town around. My
family loves being outside, and DFW has tons of choices of walking trails and
parks. I’d take visitors to the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge and Oak
Point Park & Nature Preserve in Plano. It’s always fun to go to downtown
McKinney and the Bishop Arts District, since there are so many cool and unique
shops there. We like going to Ettiene Market and Patina Green in McKinney. We
love the Salty Donut in Bishop Arts District. Since the Decisive Insurance
office is based in Richardson, I can’t forget about Guitars and Growlers for
good drinks and food as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our
